The BG23 Skills Clinic is Back! For the fourth year running, the BG23 Skills Clinic is designed to help girls and boys develop their skills both on and off the court. Former Duke University standout and WNBA draftee, Becca Greenwell, will lead the clinic along with other top coaches & trainers across Kentucky. The clinic will emphasize fundamental skill development in the areas of shooting, passing, ball-handling and defense. 

Special safety procedures will be taken to ensure the health & safety of all athletes.

BG23 Skills Clinic Elements: 

  • 3-Hours of Training & Game Play led by Becca Greenwell, experienced coaches & trainers

  • Skill development focusing on Shooting, Ball Handling, Passing & Defense

  • Half Court Games, Station Drills & Contests with Prizes

  • Warm up and injury prevention training 

  • Q/A & Life Skills session for all ages

  • T-Shirt for all participants

About Becca Greenwell: 

Becca Greenwell, originally from Owensboro, KY graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School in 2013 where she began playing varsity basketball in the 7th grade. At Owensboro Catholic she accumulated over 3,000 points, earned All Region and All-American honors, won 2 State Championships, and set a national record for most 3’s in a game with 17. She has won 2 gold medals and 1 bronze medal playing with USA Basketball and was tournament MVP at the 2011 Fiba World Championship. She was a 2013 WBCA All American, McDonald's All American and the #5 ranked recruit coming out of high school. 

She won an athletic scholarship to Duke University where she earned a master's degree and played from 2014-2018. As a 4-year starter for the Duke Women's Basketball team, Becca was the first blue devil to notch 1,800 points, 600 rebounds and 200 made three-pointers. She ranked 5th in scoring with 1,874 points. Becca broke the school record for most 3’s in a game with 8, and holds the all-time school record for most career 3’s at Duke. She was a 3-year captain, 4-time All-ACC team member, 4-year ALL-ACC Academic team member and received All-American honors her senior year. She was drafted as the 31st pick in the 2018 WNBA draft to the Washington Mystics. 

She currently works for the Sports Partnerships team at Facebook & runs the Becca Greenwell Basketball Academy running camps, clinics & training for girls and boys.
